If you lean in, settle your spirit and listen, you'll hear them.
Right here, in the midst of all the noise and distraction and activity of Everyday Life, they're offered consistently and quietly (mostly). They call us to something other — a way of being, of orienting ourselves in the world. A seemingly contradictory act of rooting into the deepest part of what is real. Becoming solid and still; able to stare down storms and winds and drought.
All the while, moving with intention and purpose toward a promised place that we know is there, that we've sensed and smelled in the breeze, but only glimpsed, only know by faith.
This is the invitation to be an abiding pilgrim: rooted yet moving, knowing yet innocent, confident
yet seeking. Will you accept?
